"We must judge each day by the seeds we plant"

Robert Louis Stevenson

Individual Counseling

A SAFE SPACE

A process through which clients work one-on-one with a trained therapist. Usually occurring once a week—in a safe, caring, and confidential environment.

To explore feelings, beliefs, or behaviors, work through challenging or influential memories, identify aspects of their lives that they would like to change, better understand themselves and others, set personal goals, and work toward desired change.

Couples and Marriage Counseling

HELPING COUPLES, MARRIED OR NOT

Couples Therapy gives couples the tools to communicate better, negotiate differences, problem solve and even argue in a healthier way.

Couples Therapy and Marriage Therapy can be short term. You may need only a few sessions to help weather a crisis. Couples therapy may need several months, particularly if the relationship has greatly deteriorated. As with individual counseling, couples typically see a marriage counselor or therapist once a week.

Life Event Counseling

OVERCOMING LIFE-CHANGING EXPERIENCES

This can mean many things. There are numerous approaches to helping people overcome life-changing experiences.

In all instances, undertaking therapeutic endeavors aimed at relieving the after effects of these events is paramount. Many people may not fully recover from the feelings these disturbances have caused without some form of processing. A variety of therapy methods may be used.

Henry David Thoreau – Walden

“If a man loses pace with his companions,
perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer.
Let him then step to the music which he hears, however measured, or far away.”
